🏏 Is Kotor 2 Open World
It's not open world by normal definitions thereof, no. You're often in large spaces, but the game is actually comprised of dozens of modules, and each module is like a level which is just designed to give the appearance of being wide-open, not actually properly wide-open.
The game's scale has come under scrutiny, as it has been compared to the likes of Knights of the Old Republic 2 rather than massive open-world titles like The Elder Scrolls series.
One such glitch results in the game crashing when users land on the planet Onderon, effectively rendering the KOTOR 2 ending unplayable. Aspyr advises workaround for KOTOR 2 ending bug on Switch
Gonna piggyback on everyone else and say Witcher 2 is solid. Honestly, I've only played the opening 3 or so hours of the second and third games and I enjoyed 2 a lot more. 2 is less "open world" and more so different story areas to explore, so it feels much tighter as a narrative experience.
KOTOR 2 just seemed to be completely random about what weapons or supplies I'd find on corpses or in containers. There were definitely some times where the world helped tell the story, like the fact that an "academy" that trains Sith on Malachor has prison cells, but then other times when it's obviously just random.
Least liked world in Kotor 1. My least liked is Manaan as i feel it can drag were o wish such time could be spent on other worlds like maybe going to the settlements talked about on Dantooine. The multiple court trial and arrests dont help either as first time through they can be confusing and frustrating. Closed • 370 total votes. 38. Dantooine.
My order typically goes like this: Nar Shadaa docks (to finish lightsaber, not to do anything else on the planet) Korriban (Academy, then prestige class, then tomb for the infinite EXP glitch) Dxun/Onderon, part 1. Dantooine. Dxun/Onderon redux.
Loyalist77. • 3 yr. ago. I normally play lightside and give on to the Republic Spy because he helps with the murder investigation. The second I actually give to the Captain because I'm pretty sure it's actually his stolen one. Seems like the just thing to do. Also if you refuse the reward he'll give it to you anyway.
