No, it's probably electrical. A mechanical issue with the shutoff solenoid linkage wouldn't fix itself like that. 1.Switch off the ignition. 2.Switch to start position. 3.Switch off the ignition. 4.Switch on the ignition to re-enable the fuel pump.
